NJC - London Stock Exchange Group's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain

NJC has been identified as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

The report, published today, is a celebration of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses across the UK.

Paul Crilly, Managing Director NJC commented: “We are thrilled to be listed by the London Stock Exchange as one of the most inspiring and fast growing SMEs in the UK. This prestigious recognition is testament to the dedication and commitment of our whole team, combined with our integrated self-delivery and industry leading reporting.”

Xavier Rolet, Chief Executive, London Stock Exchange Group said: “The fourth edition of the ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report continues to highlight the dynamic, entrepreneurial and ambitious businesses across the country that are boosting UK productivity, driving economic growth and creating jobs. The strength and diversity of these companies is readily apparent with a broad mix of UK regions and sectors represented. These companies are the very heart of an ‘anti-fragile’ economy: more robust; more flexible and less prone to boom and bust.”

Mental Health Awareness Week 8-12 May 2017

NJC thought it was a fantastic opportunity to get involved and help raise awareness and donations for the Mental Health Foundation.

A range of events have been scheduled across the month, including 5 a side, a raffle and dress down Friday, to raise not only money for charity but also to raise awareness on mental health.

Good mental health is fundamental to thriving in life. It is the essence of who we are and how we experience the world. Yet, compared to physical health, so little is commonly known about mental ill health and how to prevent it. That must change. The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s charity for everyone’s mental health. With prevention at the heart of what they do, they aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems. We must make the same progress for the health of our minds that we have achieved for the health of our bodies. And when we do, we will look back and think that this was our time’s greatest contribution to human flourishing. The Mental Health Foundation is a UK charity that relies on public donations and grant funding to deliver and campaign for good mental health for all.

Visit www.mentalhealth.org.uk for more information on the Foundation, how to get involved and how to look after your health.

Two NJC Employees, Jan Ashby and Amanda Heppelthwaite, came to the help of a young girl who was having a fit in front of Windsor Castle on Thursday 16th February whilst attending a work meeting. They saw the girl on the floor with two men performing CPR and rushed over to see if they could help.

Jan ran back to the hotel to get blankets for the girl who was lying on the cold wet floor and Amanda used her phone to call paramedics. Once an ambulance arrived some minutes later they left the scene for the paramedics to take over.
