NJC self-delivers all cleaning and associated soft services for Mizuho Bank at 30 Old Bailey.
The main cleaning is carried out overnight and includes all offices, meeting rooms, washrooms, kitchens, lifts and stairs. The building operates 24 hours a day, with employees working late into the evening, so cleaning has to be carried our sensitively using battery equipment wherever possible, to avoid disruption. The high levels of individual desk use, combined with shared spaces, requires extremely high hygiene standards.
The day team ensures that the expected 5 star standards are maintained throughout the day, particularly in the kitchen, washroom and reception areas. They also carry out reactive tasks as needed.
Significant senior stakeholder engagement, together with the need for high levels of communication and a fast response to any issues, necessitate customer service training for all of the NJC team.
In addition, an understanding of the wide range of employee nationalities and cultures is required. Regular NJC team meetings and toolbox talks help develop skills and understanding, as well as providing training on health and safety and new innovations.
